It has become widely accepted that the complex problems and challenges facing societies today cannot be solved by the government and philanthropic sectors alone. Therefore, engaging the private sector in addressing the social and environmental challenges facing societies has become essential. Especially when comparing the share of capital in each of the three sectors, the private sector undoubtedly holds the largest share. Even if we assume that just 1% of global capital markets were directed towards impact investing, it could yield tremendous results for society.
